Back in 2009, in the vibrant yoga landscape of Phoenix, Arizona, Gabe Yoga created BikYasa Yoga as a transformative force, blending innovation with deep insights drawn from Simon Sinek's Golden Circle.
Let's embark on a journey through the genesis of BikYasa and the profound teachings that shape its vision.

Insights from Simon Sinek: Guiding Light of BikYasa

At the core of BikYasa's evolution lies the wisdom of Simon Sinek's Golden Circle. GabeYoga, inspired by Sinek's philosophy, delved into the 'why' of yoga teaching, recognizing that a deeper purpose fuels transformative practices. BikYasa's mission transcends the physical, weaving a tapestry of personal growth and community connection.

Enhancing Teacher Communication: The Bridge to Transformation

Effective communication serves as the bridge between a teacher's intention and a practitioner's experience. BikYasa's training meticulously enhances teacher communication, embracing direct, simple, and active language. This approach fosters a seamless connection with students, creating an environment where words become tools for profound transformation.

The 5 Principles of Powerful Yoga Teaching: Cultivating Mastery

BikYasa recognizes that powerful yoga teaching extends beyond physical postures. The training instills five principles:

1. Direct, Simple Active Vocabulary: Clarity in communication through engaging language.

2. Fusing Humor: Infusing classes with humor creates a light-hearted and enjoyable atmosphere.

3. Imparting Insight Beyond the Anatomy: Elevating teachings to provide insights beyond the physical practice.

4. Body Language: Understanding the impact of non-verbal communication on the class experience.

5. Awareness of 'Explain Like You Would for a 5-Year-Old, but Respect Them Like an Adult': Balancing simplicity with respect for each student's intelligence.

These principles shape not just instructors but inspirers who guide practitioners on a holistic journey.

Cultivating Powerful Yoga Teachers: Nurturing Beyond Instruction

BikYasa's training transcends instruction; it nurtures individuals to inspire and lead. Recognizing that teaching yoga involves creating an environment of understanding, the curriculum empowers teachers to guide practitioners on a journey of holistic well-being. The fusion of Sinek's insights and foundational principles births teachers who go beyond the ordinary, transforming individuals and communities from the inside out.

The Birth of BikYasa: A Response to the Call for Transformation

GabeYoga, a seasoned yogi, found himself at a crossroads, seeking a transformative and holistic approach to yoga. BikYasa was conceived as a response to this quest—a practice designed not just for physical postures but as a journey of self-discovery and personal evolution.

The BikYasa Vision: A Symphony of Movement and Mindfulness

BikYasa envisions yoga as a catalyst for personal metamorphosis, transcending the physical. The practice harmoniously integrates ancient yogic wisdom with modern innovation, creating a space where the timeless meets the present. The intentional movement in BikYasa becomes a celebration of personal metamorphosis, influencing practitioners beyond the mat.

Conclusion: The Heartbeat of Transformation

In the pulsating heart of BikYasa lies an invitation to move with intention, breathe with purpose, and embark on a journey of personal transformation. GabeYoga's creation is not just a yoga practice; it's a symphony where movement, mindfulness, and metamorphosis converge. As practitioners step onto the mat, they enter a space where the magic of BikYasa unfolds—a celebration of the transformative power within each intentional movemen

On this st Patrick day Friday I spontaneously played all Green Day songs after talking with my students about this green kind of day.

BikYasa is but a term to describe a specific approach to hot flow yoga.
Core power yoga along with many studios these days just turn on heat to do yoga.
BikYasa on the other hand is based on healing and expanding both mind and body principles from Bikram and Ashtanga.
BikYasa is just a term to define an approach to hot flow that connects modern music with silence, hot 26 with flow.
You can find BikYasa through the usa and the world at various studios.
From facebook.com/gharahotyoga in Brazil, to Indigo Yoga (facebook.com/lascrucesyoga) in New Mexico. From facebook.com/SomeLikeitHotYogaBoutique in CA to .facebook.com/StudioYin in Finland.

In this clip you can experience the sequence intelligence to help the spine get healthy.

You will also learn better action vocabulary cues, adjustments tips and how to use modern music in class.

Learning how to teach BikYasa:
- empowers your teaching
- provides you with the reasons behind the sequence
- educates you on how to actually sequence for health and strength
- teach with confidence by teaching from the front (how can you accept teachers would teach from behind you? Would you stay in a lecture if the speaker talked to the back of your head?)
- establish connection between teacher and student through words, body language and presence.

You can learn this popular style this summer in Thailand!!!
