Pushing or straining to empty your bladder might seem harmless, but over time it can put unnecessary pressure on your pelvic floor — leading to issues like leakage, urgency, or even prolapse.

If you feel like you have to push to go, your pelvic floor may be holding more tension than you realize. The good news? That’s something pelvic floor therapy can help with!

✨ Learn how to relax your muscles and let your bladder do its job — no straining required.

Whether your C-section was 6 weeks or 6 years ago, your scar still tells a story — and it can also hold tension, tightness, or sensitivity that affects your core, back, or pelvic floor.

Pelvic floor therapy can help restore movement, soften scar tissue, and reconnect you with your body so you can feel strong and supported again. ✨

This month, we’re offering free C-section scar screenings at She PT — a 20 minute 1:1 sit down with a pelvic floor physical therapist to talk through personalized ways to support your recovery.

Because healing doesn’t have an expiration date. 🩵

📅 Spots are limited — call or text (602) 456-2956 to reserve your free screening.

It takes courage to seek help for something so personal, and we’re honored every time someone chooses to take that first step.

If you’ve been curious about pelvic floor therapy but unsure where to start, you’re not alone — and we’re here when you’re ready. 💫

If sitting feels like a literal pain in the tailbone, you’re not imagining it. 💥

Tailbone pain (coccydynia) can make sitting, driving, or even bending uncomfortable. It often shows up after a fall, a long labor and delivery, or even from years of sitting posture habits.

At She PT, we look beyond the tailbone itself — because pain here is often connected to the pelvic floor, hips, and even the lower back.

Pelvic floor therapy can help by:
✨ Releasing muscle tension and restoring mobility
✨ Addressing alignment and sitting posture
✨ Teaching positions and supports that reduce pressure

You don’t have to “just live with it.” Relief is possible — and it starts with understanding where your pain is really coming from. 🩵

Endometriosis pain is more than “bad cramps.”

It can cause deep pelvic pain, painful periods, pain with intimacy, bloating, and even tension throughout the hips, back, and abdomen. Over time, that constant pain can lead to pelvic floor muscles tightening as they try to protect the body — which can make symptoms worse.

That’s where pelvic floor therapy can help.
✨ We work to release muscle tension and improve mobility
✨ Address scar tissue and fascial restrictions
✨ Support better bladder, bowel, and sexual function
✨ Help your nervous system find safety again

Endometriosis pain is real — and you don’t have to manage it alone. Pelvic floor therapy can be a gentle, effective part of your care team. 🩵

If you’re pregnant and feel sharp pain in your p***c bone, hips, or inner thighs—especially when walking, rolling in bed, or lifting a leg—you might be dealing with SPD (Symphysis P***s Dysfunction), also called pelvic girdle pain.

SPD happens when the joints at the front of the pelvis become irritated or unstable due to hormonal changes, posture shifts, and added pressure from pregnancy.
But here’s the important part: pain isn’t something you just have to “push through.”

Pelvic floor therapy can help by:
✨ Teaching safe movement and body mechanics
✨ Supporting pelvic stability with targeted exercises
✨ Reducing tension and pain through hands-on treatment

You deserve to move through pregnancy with comfort and confidence — not wincing at every step.

If this sounds familiar, we’re here to help. 🩵

Preparing for birth isn’t just about packing a hospital bag — it’s about preparing your body, too. Perineal massage is a gentle technique that can help increase tissue flexibility, reduce the risk of tearing, and help you connect with your pelvic floor before labor.

It’s not about “doing it perfectly.” It’s about learning to soften, release, and trust your body in the process. 🩵

In pelvic floor therapy, we teach you how to do this safely, comfortably, and with confidence — so you can head into birth feeling supported, not surprised.

So many women live with these symptoms for months or years, thinking they’re “just part of life” or something they have to manage alone. They’re not.

Every day in the clinic, we’re reminded that healing doesn’t look the same for everyone — but it always begins with being heard, understood, and supported.

If you see yourself in today’s journeys, know this:
✨ You’re not broken.
✨ You’re not alone.
✨ And there is help.

Most people think pelvic floor therapy is all about strengthening… but for many women, the real key is learning how to relax. 🌿

Tension in the pelvic floor can lead to leaking, pain, or urgency—and often, your body just needs help letting go.

Therapy isn’t just about stronger muscles—it’s about balance. 🩵
