Welkie — Chief Cuddle Officer of Biltmore Assisted Living
Welkie isn’t just our care home dog — he’s our four-legged therapist, snack supervisor, and hallway traffic controller (especially if you’re carrying treats).
He greets everyone like a long-lost friend, photobombs family visits, and somehow knows exactly who needs a little extra love on any given day.
We’re not saying he runs the place… but we’re also not not saying it.
With a wag of his tail and a whole lot of heart, Welkie brings joy, laughter, and a little bit of dog hair to every corner of Biltmore — and we wouldn’t have it any other way. His gentle presence brings comfort, his playful spirit brings laughter, and his unconditional love reminds us all that sometimes the best medicine has four paws and a furry face.
