First and foremost, I want to thank each and every one of your for choosing me as your physician and for allowing me to do what I love the way I love to do it.
As we are all approaching the end of another trying year and I am approaching my 4th year as a concierge physician, I wanted to try and provide some guidelines to make this practice as efficient and functional as it can be for ME and YOU.
1. Prescription requests should be TEXTED to me BEFORE you run out of medication. Please allow 48 hours for me to refill you prescription. When it has been requested, I will text you back with the word “DONE”. Please do not send another text request for the same refill before 24 hours.
2. If you need to make an appointment, please text me the reason for your visit, whether you need a phone visit or in person, and some times that you are available to see me between 8:00am and 5:00pm Monday-Friday. If your schedule does not permit a visit between those hours, let me know that too and we can work something out.
3. If you are having a TRUE MEDICAL EMERGENCY, PLEASE dial 911. If you are not sure if it’s an emergency, feel free to text me and start the text with 911. I will be able to prioritize these urgent messages more easily. Please err on the side of caution but don’t cheat. I will know because I am a professional. 😊
4. As someone who preaches SLEEP as a #1 priority, I need to remind you that I, too, need my sleep. I am currently working 20–22-hour days responding to text messages throughout the night. This schedule is not sustainable and for me to be the best Doctor, Husband, Father and Friend that I can be, I need to allow myself from 10pm-8am and weekends to take only emergent or urgent messages. If possible, please try to text me during normal business hours for routine matters, and, again, if it’s an EMERGENCY, dial 911.
5. While I appreciate – SO VERY MUCH – all your REFERALLS to family and friends, I am nearing my capacity number of patients. There are days I am treating more people pro bono than I am contracted with. I need to be able to provide the quality of care you are paying for and that requires my full attention. Your contract with me lists who’s covered by my fee and I ask that you keep your questions to those people only or feel free to add them to your agreement and text me. New patients require a proper intake procedure and a contract to be treated. I will announce when I have reached full capacity and will no longer be able to accept new patients.
I look forward to being your doctor for many years to come. 2020 and 2021 have proven to be a very tough couple of years for everyone. I have learned a lot and will continue to learn and grow as a doctor in order to serve you better. I hope you know how important you all are to me.
God Bless.
In Good Health,
Greg
