Two days ago, we had the privilege of celebrating an extraordinary legacy.

Dr. John Elliott has dedicated more than four decades to advancing the care of high-risk pregnancies and supporting families during some of the most important moments of their lives. Throughout his career, he helped deliver thousands of babies and played a major role in improving outcomes for mothers and multiples across the country.

Saturday’s celebration was a reflection of the lives he has touched — patients, families, colleagues, and generations of providers who have learned from his leadership.

We are deeply grateful for the compassion, dedication, and innovation Dr. Elliott has brought to the field of maternal-fetal medicine.

Thank you, Dr. Elliott, for the lasting impact you have made on so many lives.

03/14/2026

Today we recognize and thank Dr. John Elliott for an extraordinary and legendary career in maternal-fetal medicine.

For more than four decades, Dr. Elliott has dedicated his life to caring for mothers and babies facing some of the most complex and high-risk pregnancies. His work has helped safely deliver more than 2,600 babies from high-order multiple pregnancies, including hundreds of sets of triplets, quadruplets, and quintuplets.

Through his clinical care, research, teaching, and mentorship, Dr. Elliott has helped shape the modern management of complex multiple pregnancies and improve outcomes for families around the world. Thousands of families across Arizona and beyond carry a part of his legacy in the lives of the children he helped bring safely into the world.

Dr. Elliott, thank you for your legendary career and for the countless mothers and babies whose lives are better because of your dedication.

Your impact will be felt for generations.

Let’s Talk About Libido Changes

Changes in libido are incredibly common and often linked to natural shifts in hormones. Stress, sleep, medications, pregnancy, postpartum recovery, perimenopause, and menopause can all affect your s*x drive.

The important thing to remember is this: you’re not alone, and you’re not “broken.”

While talking with friends can make the topic feel less embarrassing, it usually doesn’t lead to real answers. Understanding what’s happening in your body is the first step toward feeling like yourself again.

At Advanced Women’s Care, our providers help women identify the root causes of libido changes and explore solutions that work for them. That may include lifestyle changes, hormone support, naturopathic approaches, or medical treatments depending on your needs.

You deserve real answers and compassionate care.

Today is International Kidney Day.

Your kidneys play an important role in filtering toxins, balancing fluids, and supporting overall health. One simple way to help support kidney function is proper hydration with natural minerals your body recognizes.

These refreshing electrolyte drink recipes were created by Dr. Grobe, naturopathic physician at Advanced Women’s Care, using real ingredients like coconut water, fresh fruit, citrus, and mineral-rich salts to help support hydration and wellness.

Try one of these at home:

🍉 Watermelon Refresher
1 cup coconut water
1 cup water
2 tbsp watermelon puree
Juice of 1 lime
Pinch of Celtic salt
🌿 Optional: muddled basil

🍓 Strawberry Citrus
1 cup coconut water
1 cup water
2 tbsp strawberry puree
Juice of 1 lemon
Pinch of Celtic salt
🌿 Optional: mint or basil

Save this post and try one this week.

If you're interested in learning more about naturopathic medicine, nutrition, hydration, and holistic wellness, schedule a consultation with Dr. Grobe through the link in our bio.

GLP-1 medications are becoming increasingly popular for weight management, but understanding how they work — and who they are appropriate for — is important.

GLP-1 medications help regulate appetite signals, blood sugar levels, and digestion. When used appropriately under medical supervision, they may support healthier weight management for some patients.

However, these medications are not the right solution for everyone. Safe and effective weight care starts with understanding your full medical history, hormone health, and long-term wellness goals.

At Advanced Women’s Care, our providers focus on comprehensive women’s healthcare. If you are curious about GLP-1 medications or looking for guidance on weight and metabolic health, our team can help you explore medically guided options.

One small change can protect your long-term health.

Preventive women’s healthcare isn’t just about your annual exam. It’s about the daily habits that support your reproductive health, hormone balance, heart health, and pregnancy outcomes.

Small, consistent changes like improving sleep, walking regularly, staying hydrated, and managing stress can help reduce risk factors for:

• Irregular menstrual cycles
• High blood pressure
• Gestational diabetes
• Complicated pregnancies
• Cervical abnormalities

At Advanced Women’s Care, we provide comprehensive OB/GYN care in Mesa, Gilbert, and the East Valley, including well-woman exams, Pap smears, birth control counseling, prenatal care, and preventive screenings.

If it’s been more than a year since your annual exam, let that be your one small change.

Call 602.428.1000 to schedule your appointment today.
