One of the biggest worries I hear from moms after a new baby arrives is “How do I make sure my older child doesn’t feel replaced?”
That concern is valid. The bond you have with your older child matters deeply, and welcoming a newborn doesn’t mean that bond has to be lost.

Some areas of the US are in the thick of winter time and cold weather so here are some cozy tips to ensure your precious newborn stays warm and snug during winter.

✅ Layer Up: Dress your baby in layers to trap warmth. Opt for breathable fabrics like cotton and add a soft, knit sweater for extra insulation.

✅ Hat Magic: Heat escapes from the head, so when outside in the cold, keep your baby's noggin covered with a comfortable hat. A hat, however, is not recommended when indoors.

✅ Warm Sleep Environment: Ensure your baby's sleep space is comfortably warm. Use a sleep sack or swaddle to maintain a cozy temperature without loose blankets.

✅ Perfect Swaddle: Master the art of swaddling! A snug swaddle not only promotes better sleep but also keeps your baby toasty.

✅ Maintain Room Temperature: Aim for a room temperature of around 68-72°F (20-22°C) for your baby's comfort. Use a reliable thermometer to monitor the environment.

✅ Warm Touch: Before dressing your baby, check their neck and chest for warmth. These areas are good indicators of their overall comfort.

✅ Stroller Blanket: When on the go, tuck a warm blanket around your baby in the stroller to shield them from chilly winds.
