Khalsa, NMD is a licensed Naturopathic Medical Doctor who graduated with high honors from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine and Health Sciences. Graduating Salutatorian, her greatest academic honor was to receive the ‘Daphne Blayden Award’ for her “Commitment to Naturopathic Medicine, Academic Excellence, Compassion, Perseverance, A Loving Sense of Humor and A Positive, Supportive Outlook”. Practicing for over a decade, she provides her patients with true integrative care with skill and compassion. She draws from both conventional and natural medicine to provide her patients with the best medical options available, recognizing the importance of each individual’s right to their health care choices. She actively embraces the role of ‘doctor as teacher’ and empowers her patients to be an active participant in their health care. She has lectured at various venues that have included colleges, health fairs, and businesses. She also served as supervising physician of senior medical students at her Alma Mater. Dr. Khalsa has been a Kundalini yoga teacher for over 10 years. She carries on a very personal and proud teaching tradition instilled by her father, Sat Jiwan Singh, a well respected member of the yoga community in Arizona for over 30 years. Although an Arizona Native, growing up in India provided her with a profoundly unique perspective on incorporating a yogic lifestyle and naturopathic principles into daily living. In her free time Dr. Khalsa enjoys hiking, and spending time with her life partner and their two entertaining cats, needy bird, hungry lizard, personable gecko and misunderstood scorpion.
