During the cooler months, I see more irritated, reactive skin than almost any other time of year—and it’s usually not because people aren’t caring for their skin. It’s because they’re overdoing the wrong things.

The biggest culprits?
Foaming cleansers that strip the skin’s natural oils, skipping moisturizer in the morning because it “feels heavy,” and over-exfoliating when the skin barrier is already stressed and dehydrated.

Here in Phoenix, our dry winter air quietly pulls moisture from the skin, making it more vulnerable to redness, flaking, and sensitivity. This is the season where gentle, hydrating, and consistent care truly matters. Fewer actives, more nourishment, and listening to what your skin is asking for.
