It's CHECK YOUR DOG DAY! Checking your dog once a month on the 14th is a good way to stay aware of your dog's health. They are the keeper of our hearts! We are their personal food dispensers, private chauffeurs, treat givers, ball throwers, clean up crew, snuggle buddies, master of scratches and so much more. Keeping them healthy is one of our biggest jobs so plan for regular checks, make notes of anything you find and contact your vet to stay ahead of anything abnormal. You might just get extra kisses from your best buddy!

Lymphoma is one of the most common cancers in dogs, often affecting lymph nodes, the spleen, liver, or bone marrow. The good news? It’s also one of the most treatable forms of canine cancer. 🐾💗

Watch for signs like swollen lymph nodes (under the jaw, behind the knees, or in front of the shoulders), fatigue, decreased appetite, or sudden weight loss.

With early detection, many dogs respond very well to treatment—giving them more time, more energy, and more tail wags. Regular vet visits and monthly checks help catch changes early!

She is able to still fulfill her service dog duties for her BFF after all she has gone through. We find the background of this picture very fitting for Phoebe! Semper Fi" ~ Michelle F.

This golden boy, Armani had Oral Melanoma. He was winning the battle against it and then one day he wouldn't come out of his bed. We found out he also had heart Hemangiosarcoma. It was that nasty cancer that took him from us. He was such a sweet, laid back boy.

Melanoma is one of the most common cancers in dogs—often appearing in the mouth, skin, or toes. Watch for warning signs like dark or raised skin growths, bleeding or swelling in the mouth, or loose teeth. 🐾

Breeds such as Cocker Spaniels, Scottish Terriers, Poodles, Golden Retrievers, and Dachshunds may be more prone, so regular vet visits and monthly checks are key to catching changes early.

The good news? With early detection and advanced treatments like surgery, radiation, and immunotherapy, many dogs can live longer, happier lives. 💗
