Peter Needs A Live Kidney Donor

Peter Needs A Live Kidney Donor I’m Peter, 65 years old. I live in Peoria AZ with my wife and our dog. Will you help me find a live kidney donor? I pray you will!

I love caring for our gardens, travel with my wife, and spending time with my (our) friends, son and daughter-in-law!

This is my wife and me — and I’m sharing this because I want more time with her.

Kidney failure doesn’t just affect the person who’s sick. It affects the people who love them too.

Since January 2025 I’ve been on nightly peritoneal dialysis, up to nine hours a night. A transplant is my best hope.

If you’ve ever wondered what living kidney donation involves, please take a look at my story:

But if you pause for just a moment, I’d like to share something real:

I’m Peter Feinstein. I’m 65 and live in Peoria, Arizona. I’ve lived with kidney disease for over 20 years, and now I’m in kidney failure.

Since January 2025 I’ve been on nightly dialysis.

A living kidney donor could save my life.

Dialysis keeps me alive. That’s the truth.

But it’s also nine hours a night, interrupted sleep, and fatigue that follows me into the next day.

Since January 2025 I’ve been on nightly peritoneal dialysis. I’m grateful it exists — but it’s not a long‑term solution.

A living kidney donor could give me my life back.

Still smiling. Still hoping. Still fighting.

But the truth is, kidney failure has changed my life.

Since January 2025 I’ve been on nightly peritoneal dialysis. It keeps me alive, but it’s exhausting and it’s not a long‑term solution.

A living kidney donor could give me the chance to live longer and feel stronger.

This photo is a reminder of what I’m fighting for: more time.

I’ve lived with kidney disease for over 20 years. But in the last few years it’s progressed to kidney failure. Since January 2025 I’ve needed nightly peritoneal dialysis — up to nine hours every night.

I’m hopeful, but I need help finding a living kidney donor.

If you’d be willing to learn about donation (or simply share my story), I’d be deeply grateful.

Are you familiar with the 31 types of happiness? That might sound like a lot, but author Pamela Gail Johnson says that’s precisely the point. She wants us to expand how we think about the emotion — and that includes separating all the different ways we can experience it, including feeling peaceful, nostalgic, and playful.

“For example, joy is a word we culturally use to describe happiness now,” Johnson told Nice News over email, adding, “However, it is a high vibration type of happiness. Other types of happiness may be more obtainable at times, such as contentment, amusement, or relief. The amount of happiness we experience is often based on how we measure it.”

Johnson is the driving force behind the Society of Happy People, a global movement to help people recognize all of life’s happy moments — and Hunt for Happiness week, which starts today, is a tangible way to do that. Learn more here

To celebrate Hunt for Happiness Week, the Society of Happy People is inviting the public to participate in a series of daily challenges.
