A kidney transplant could help me live longer, feel stronger, and return to the life I love — family, friends, hiking, and my garden.

Kidney failure doesn’t just affect the person who’s sick. It affects the people who love them too.

But it’s also nine hours a night, interrupted sleep, and fatigue that follows me into the next day.

I’ve lived with kidney disease for over 20 years. But in the last few years it’s progressed to kidney failure. Since January 2025 I’ve needed nightly peritoneal dialysis — up to nine hours every night.
