👸 Happy Halloween from our NICU! Today, a special princess is stealing hearts — meet Brizeida 💖
Born weighing just 1 lb. 2 oz., Brizeida has already overcome incredible challenges, including two brain bleeds and a diagnosis of hydrocephalus. After three surgeries and a recent VP shunt (a small device that helps drain fluid from the brain to the abdomen) she’s snuggling her way through recovery.
👑 Her Disney-loving family celebrates every milestone in royal fashion — and they’re already dreaming of magical adventures at Disneyland!

Phoenix Children’s is the only children's hospital in Arizona recognized by U.S. News & World Report’s Best Children’s Hospitals. This year, we ranked in all 10 categories, including Cancer, Cardiology and Heart Surgery, Diabetes and Endocrinology, Gastroenterology and GI Surgery, Neonatology, Nephrology, Neurology and Neurosurgery, Orthopedics, Pulmonology and Urology. We’re one of only 24 children’s hospitals in the United States to make the list in all 10 specialties for 2019-20.
