Success doesn’t always look the way the world defines it.
Dr. Paul shares how choosing simplicity over status early in his career protected something far more valuable, the freedom to follow God’s calling when it mattered most. What felt like small, unseen sacrifices at the time became the foundation that allowed the Clinic to exist years later.
Early in his medical career, he and his wife made intentional decisions to live simply, not to restrict their lives, but to protect their freedom to say yes to God later.
Those quiet, faithful choices created the space for something much bigger: the ability to serve, to give, and to help build a Clinic rooted in compassion and the Gospel.
This is a reminder for all of us: obedience often starts quietly, long before the fruit is visible. When we resist the pressure to “look successful,” we make room for God to do something eternal through our lives.
