Since my beautiful daughter passed (Citrullenmia type 1) at 4 years old I've been creating art to heal. I incorporate the stripes often because I want to keep her light shining bright. This painting represents Elyzabeth (zebra) and her sister (Giraffe) and the incredible love between them.

I miss my little girl so very much, every single day. Here's a poem I wrote...

I See You
Everyday you're on my mind and I wonder how you've been.
Do you watch me from above as I play pretend?
I close my eyes, take a breath and then I form a smile.
I see you looking up at me in that lovely playful style.
You run so fast away from me, "catch me if you can."
I watch you fade away again, I try to understand.
Why i have to miss you so, shedding all the tears.
I should be tucking you into bed and calming any fears
But every now and then I see you, peek a boo
Peeking from around the wall but not quite in full view.
I miss you more then life itself & my love remains true.
One day I'll leave this earth behind and rejoice when I see you.
