Visual schedules: big kid edition

Remember, the hard work will pay off eventually. All of the interventions, tips, tricks that we work hard at establishing when our kids are young, will hopefully pay off when they get older. Take for example a visual schedule. I have been doing these with my kids since they were toddlers and this year, my 12-year-old made her own.

Always with behavior it’s important to remember the long game. Put in the hard work today as it will pay off in the end what do you think of her visual schedule? I am so proud!

Friday Funny 😉 all I will say is raising kids is hard, this week felt like being shot out of a cannon, and this is clearly a joke. I think I may roll into 2026 not having to put that disclaimer on videos anymore “this is a joke” or “this is exaggerated” and just let it rip 🤷🏼‍♀️ the year of, if you can’t laugh & joke— good luck 😉

In many ways it feels like yesterday we were celebrating our first Christmas with you as a 5 day old baby and in other ways it feels like a lifetime ago. Time is a true thief but with every passing year, I do enjoy the new stages even more. I love now that you are older chatting with you about all life things. We joke you are emo but in reality, you are just honest. Saying what we all are thinking and feeling & continuing to shine just being you. Harp, you were my first baby, you made a mama, and I love watching you grow. Please continue to always tell me the gossip, never stop calling me mama & continue to remind me that thoughtful processing sometimes really tramps jumping right in. We love you Harp. Happy 12th birthday— slay girl 😉
