Discipline Tip 🙌🏻communication reframe•

Instead of just saying NO, tell them what you want to see them do instead. Shift the no into what you want to see the behavior look like. This helps to set them up for success and teach them appropriate expectations.

It is normal to say no, so don’t stress about that word but practice following it up with a statement about what to do next. Instead of saying, don’t hit me. Follow it up with, we use gentle hands. Can you show me gentle hands? You are going to say no but work on this communication reframe to provide a teaching moment 🙌🏻

How to quit the thumb successfully! 👍🏻

Does your kiddo suck their thumb? This is a hard one to break! Often kids feel a social pressure to want to quit and this may be closer to around age 5. I do think it’s helpful for a kiddo to feel motivated before a plan to help them stop. Using a T-Guard can also really help. This is a hard habit to break especially when tired, the T-Guard is a great product to ensure success when motivated for the change!

How to transition out of a swaddle 👶🏼

You want to transition baby out of a swaddle with any signs of rolling during the day or between 2-4 months of age.

I like to do 1 arm in and 1 arm out for 3-4 days and nights. Then do both arms out and swaddle just the body for a week. And then move to a normal sleep sack. Have swaddle questions?! Drop below ⬇️

Parenting Triangle Hierarchy 🔺⚠️🔺

Parenting as a united front means being the top of the triangle. It is normal to not agree on everything when parenting with a partner. When that happens, have off line regroup meetings and get to a compromise. It is important for your kids to see you united and consistent! 🙌🏻
