Hi, my name is Jen and I'm a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) at the Empowerment Group. I graduated with my Master of Education in Counseling. I am also a Certified Wellness Professional, National Certified Counselor, Certified Trauma Professional, and I hold an Elementary Teacher and School Counseling Certificate through the Arizona Department of Education. I am trained in DBT and have both professional and personal experience in intimate partner violence/domestic violence and narcissistic abuse. I have experience as a community mental health school-based and outpatient therapist, school counselor, and teacher. I work with children, adolescents, adults, families, and in the group setting.
I believe the first step to change is awareness. Today, you are one step closer to closing the gap from where you are and where you want to be. You can design a world that aligns with the one you imagined. You are not confined to yesterday’s destiny; your new story can start on any page. You can create another beginning, the story that feels right to you. The time is now to trust your inner voice; it's never too late. I’m here to help you raise your standards, set your boundaries, protect your peace, instill hope, develop self-love, and live with authenticity. I use a trauma-informed approach in my practice by providing empathy, validation, active listening, and a safe, non-judgmental space.
