✨ New Member Spotlight ✨

Please join us in welcoming this female owned and operated medical clinic to the Chamber family. The practice is led by Dr. Gebel, who has been practicing medicine for nearly 20 years and has proudly called Sulphur Springs home for the past 10 years.

The clinic currently provides Ob/Gyn services, and beginning in March, Nurse Practitioner Beverly Mayo will also be offering primary care, allowing the team to serve the community with both specialty and primary care services. Their mission is to care for patients throughout Sulphur Springs and the surrounding areas with compassionate, quality healthcare.

Their new office is located at the former site of Skate Magic, a place many in the community remember fondly, including Dr. Gebel’s own children who once roller skated there. The team is excited to be in this space and looks forward to serving the community for years to come.

Happy National Women Physicians Day to all the amazing female physicians changing the face of medicine and making impact every day 👩🏻‍⚕️🩺! Thank you for all that you do, in the clinical setting and beyond.

This remains my favorite picture related to women in medicine, because it’s an empowering reminder of how far we’ve come 💪.

Yes - every female physician could likely tell you a story about how they’ve been underestimated, underpaid, or overlooked. We’ve still got a long way to go in terms of change, but when I see the incredible women physicians around me, I know we will get there. 💯

Every year in our physician communities, there are more powerhouse female physicians in leadership positions at academic departments, major corporations, and medical societies, and we see more women making their mark as startup founders, private practice owners, venture capitalists, advisory board members, advocates, politicians, and more.

Here’s to shattering more glass ceilings! 🥂
