Slow down at 100? Not a chance!
Raise a toast to Joyce as she celebrates her incredible milestone! Joyce has truly embraced reaching a century, celebrating in style with the help of the team at St Catherines View in Winchester.
Together they created a 'Turning 100 Bucket List', a list of 10 things she wanted to experience before her big day for every decade of her life.
From cooking a delicious meal for everyone at the home to riding a steam train, Joyce has checked off each item from her list. She also set sail on a thrilling adventure aboard a sailboat and even experienced the adrenaline rush of racing around Goodwood Motor Circuit in a Colten Care minibus.
The grand finale was the unforgettable 'Trip To America' themed party hosted by the home. And the cherry on top, a visit from the BBC who shared her remarkable adventures on the news.
Happy 100th birthday, Joyce!
Our residents at Bourne View had the incredible opportunity to be featured on the BBC, discussing this year’s Eurovision Song Contest.
But that's not all - our home has its very own Eurovision star. Nicky Stevens, a member of the Companionship Team, not only participated but was crowned a winner in 1976 as part of the legendary Brotherhood of Man! 🤩🎼
Nicky joined the Colten Care family during the pandemic, and her remarkable voice has brought joy and entertainment to our residents as a valued member of our companionship team.
We're extremely proud to have Nicky as part of our team and appreciate the positive impact she, along with all of our companions, continues to make in our care homes.
We hope you enjoy the coverage!

A Colten Christmas Carol
Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas, from everyone at Colten Care.
Here's a special Colten Christmas Carol, courtesy of resident Myrtle and Music & Arts partner Fiona Pritchard.
At 94 years young, Myrtle had not played the piano for some 10 years. After months of gentle encouragement from Fiona, Myrtle has rediscovered her love for music and the piano. The pair struck up a unique musical connection and prepared a beautiful version of Silent Night for residents at our Poole care home, Bourne View.
Enjoy!

Woodpeckers Care Home Gardens
Our gardens are not just for looking at. At Colten Care, we believe in empowering residents to take ownership of their garden, just as they may have done before moving into the home.
We employ our own gardeners who work closely with residents, encouraging them to get hands in the soil.
We understand the therapeutic power of being in nature, listening to the sounds of the birds, smelling the scent of the flowers, and enjoying the fruits of our labour.
Our wonderful gardening team that brings a wealth of expertise in designing and maintaining gardens that are both calming and revitalising, with plenty of visual and sensory interest.
Watch our latest video where our Gardener, Chris, talks about what the gardens at Woodpeckers bring to the residents at our New Forest home.
