🌟 NARCAN SAVES LIVES — KNOW HOW TO USE IT 🌟
Opioid overdoses can happen to anyone. Having Narcan (naloxone) on hand can make the difference between life and death. It’s safe, easy to use, and works within minutes to reverse an overdose.
How to recognize an Opioid Overdose:
1. Slow or no breathing
2. Blue or gray lips or fingertips
3. Unresponsiveness
4. Pinpoint pupils
5. Gasping, choking, or gurgling sounds
If you suspect an overdose:
1. Check to see if the person is unresponsive, is very sleepy, or not breathing well
2. Give the first dose — hold the nasal spray device with your thumb on the bottom of the plunger
3. Insert the nozzle into either nostril and press the plunger firmly to give the dose (one nasal spray device contains one dose of medicine)
4. Call 911 immediately
5. Wait & Monitor: If the person does not wake up, continue to give doses every 2-3 minutes until the person wakes up
6. Stay until help arrives, even if the person wakes up
⚠️ Do not test the nasal spray device before use.
For use in the nose only
Safe, even if opioids are not present
Keep a kit with you and in common areas—cars, workplaces, community spaces.
Let friends, family, and coworkers know where it is and how to use it.
Encourage others to carry it. You don’t need medical training to administer it.
Remind people that using Narcan cannot harm someone—even if they’re not overdosing.
At CHAD, we believe in harm reduction and community safety.
Narcan is available for FREE, confidentially, with no questions asked.
Stop by anytime and pick up a kit for yourself or someone you care about.
Together, we can save lives.
Spread the word. Carry Narcan. Be prepared.
