Meet 2025 Miracle Kid, Kysen! 💛

Born prematurely with underdeveloped lungs, Kysen spent 95 days in the NICU fighting for every breath. He was intubated, placed on multiple respiratory machines, and received two rounds of steroids to help his tiny lungs grow. With the dedicated care of the NICU team, Kysen grew stronger each day, eventually going home on oxygen and a feeding tube, and by 11 months, he no longer needed the tube at all.

Today, he’s thriving and full of smiles, a powerful reminder that miracles happen every day. We’re proud to celebrate Kysen as a 2025 Miracle Kid! 💛

We had a wonderful time at the UMC Cancer Center’s annual Christmas party for our pediatric cancer patients! Each family was able to select multiple Christmas toys generously donated by our community. The joy on the kids’ faces was the most heartwarming gift of all!

A big thank you to everyone who helped make this day so special and fun for our little patients! 💛

For the past several years, the Wade family has collected toy donations for patients at UMC Children’s Hospital through their 'Stuff the Van' initiative, a tradition born from their own experience spending Christmas in the hospital with their daughter, Allie. This year, with the generous support of donors they donated 900 toys, bringing holiday cheer to children and families spending Christmas in the hospital. We are so grateful to the Wade family and everyone who helped make this possible!

LCU Esports is gearing up for their 24-hour Extra Life stream fundraiser and got some awesome practice time with our Miracle Kid, Eli Clem!

Eli and his family toured the team’s lab and he instantly fell in love with esports. After being off steroids for over a year, seeing him laugh, play, and truly enjoy the day was such a gift!
