The team at CP Unlimited was invited to ring the opening bell for the Nasdaq stock exchange on Wednesday, March 25 in honor and recognition of the Agency’s 80th anniversary.

Remarks from CPU's Thomas Mandelkow, EVP and CAO/CFO:

My name is Tom Mandelkow, and I represent Constructive Partnerships Unlimited- one of New York’s leading providers of innovative, caring, and comprehensive support for adults with disabilities.

Today is a very special day for the 2,500 members of our workforce and the 1,400 families impacted by our organization every year. At our core, CP Unlimited is about mission-driven outcomes for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and that extends to every aspect of their lives including residential, day habilitation, vocational, therapeutic, and educational services.

As a grassroots organization founded by a group of parents in 1946, we are today a $300M operation with more than 220 sites extending to all corners of New York City and Hudson Valley. We commit to our role as visionary examples of what it means to have diverse, integrative, and accessible communities and to elevate the promise of our society to reflect on all people.

Today is also and advocates across the country will wear green in recognition. We hope you will help grow our voice by joining us at an upcoming program, advocating for the passage of the Traveling with Dignity Act for better restroom accommodations for people with wheelchairs, and supporting our work.

May the opening bell echo as a clarion call to empower people with complex needs or housing insecurity to achieve fulfilling, dignified, safe, and healthy lives.
