Do you know what a special enrollment means for you?

For those specifically receiving Medicare:

Those who are enrolled in a Medicare advantage plans has more than one option for enrollment. The annual enrollment time period is from October 15 to December 31.

But do you know if you have a qualifying event you may change your plan at different times of the year?

This is called a SEP, a special enrollment period. When can ypu change your Medicare advantage plan?

If you lose a doctor due:

- to retirement
- death of your doctor
-relocation of your doctors office
- A change in your health status
- if your Doctor No longer contracts with a Medicare Advantage plan
- If you move out of the service area
- Poor quality of service
- Or to move to a higher rated plan

Some plans will allow you to have a special enrollment in some cases of a natural disaster.
