Last week I did the colonoscopy prep.
Not glamorous. Not fun. Necessary.
But honestly, I was really miserable.
Yes, I survived. Yes, I complained. Yes, I’m fine.
It also reminded me how much information we’re juggling at this stage of life. Screenings, labs, follow-ups, decisions.
I’m working on a simple screenings reminder tool for women our age that I’ll be sharing soon.
And in the middle of all of that, I’m still loving my podcast.
The conversations with each guest are what I am enjoying the most.
If you’re listening, I’d really love your feedback.

Some paths close for a while — not because they’re over, but because something needs repair.
Hiking to Inspiration Point today reminded me how true that is in life, too.
I have a podcast episode coming out this week — a conversation about living fully even when the terrain changes.
If you want to know when it drops, my email list is the best place to be.

Midlife doesn’t mean something is wrong with you.
It means something is changing.
And transitions deserve support — not self-criticism.

This has been part of my own long-term health rhythm.

I just completed my 34th round of ProLon, which I use periodically as part of my long-term approach to metabolic health and longevity.

I’m sharing this from my personal experience, not as a recommendation or prescription.

Since the timing happened to align with a current offer, I wanted to share that there is a 30% discount available through my link: oprolonlife.com/dcitron

This isn’t medical advice, and fasting is not appropriate for everyone.

If you’re considering it, please talk with your healthcare provider first.

Sharing because it feels aligned.

Loosening my grip.

A conversation about creativity, aging, and staying alive to your work is live on the podcast. Link in bio.

Sometimes all I can do is show up.
And that’s enough.

Round 34. Age 64.
I don’t believe in fad diets or chronic restriction.
Most of the year, I eat a high-fiber, high-protein whole food plant-based diet.
I support intuitive eating—including Hara Hachi Bu (eating to about 80% full).
A few times a year, I use ProLon’s 5-day fasting-mimicking program as a structured, research-backed metabolic reset to support my metabolic health, longevity, and to help “reset” my eating when it creeps over time.
Not medical advice.
Talk with your healthcare provider before fasting.

“You being you is sexy.”
That line stopped me in my tracks.

This is exactly what I mean when I use the word sexy.
Not how you look.
Not how you’re seen.
But how at home you feel in yourself.

Midlife isn’t about fixing or chasing some earlier version of you.
It’s about coming back into alignment with who you already are.

That’s the work I care about.
