💪 Tuesday Tip: How to Treat Shoulder Tendonitis 💪

Here’s how to support healing and get back to feeling your best 👇

✨ Start with rest (but not total inactivity!)
Give your shoulder a break from movements that trigger pain—especially overhead or repetitive motions. But don’t keep it completely still for too long, as gentle movement helps prevent stiffness.

❄️ Use ice to reduce inflammation
Apply ice for 15–20 minutes a few times a day to help calm swelling and ease discomfort.

💊 Manage pain and inflammation
Over-the-counter anti-inflammatory medications (like ibuprofen) can help reduce pain and swelling when needed.

🧘‍♀️ Incorporate gentle stretching & strengthening
Once pain starts to improve, light exercises or physical therapy can restore movement, build strength, and prevent future flare-ups.

🔥 Modify activities
Avoid pushing through pain—adjust workouts or daily movements to protect your shoulder while it heals.

👉 Tuesday Tip: Early care makes a big difference—don’t ignore persistent shoulder pain. The sooner you address it, the faster you can recover

Cartilage damage doesn’t just cause pain ---> it can limit movement, impact performance, and, if left untreated, lead to long-term joint issues like arthritis.

The good news? Advances in cartilage preservation treatments are changing the way we approach joint care. Instead of jumping straight to joint replacement, today’s techniques focus on repairing, regenerating, and preserving your natural cartilage whenever possible.

Cartilage plays a critical role as a cushion and shock absorber in your joints—but it has very limited ability to heal on its own. That’s why modern treatments use innovative approaches to stimulate healing, restore damaged areas, and help maintain joint function for the long term.

The goal is simple: reduce pain, improve mobility, and keep your natural joint healthy for as long as possible—so you can stay active and keep doing what you love.

Peptides are a HUGE category. We’re talking about everything from insulin to GLP-1s 💉 Some are incredibly well-researched and FDA-approved.

But in the injury recovery world? That’s where it gets a bit murky. Peptides like BPC-157 and TB-500 have exploded in popularity, with claims they speed up healing for tendons, ligaments, and muscles.

Here’s the thing: the animal data looks promising, but there’s still no peer-reviewed human clinical trial data proving they work. And because they’re unregulated, you don’t really know what you’re getting. Purity, contamination, and mislabeling are real concerns. 🧪

We’re optimistic the science will catch up. But for now? A healthy dose of skepticism is warranted.

Not all knee instability is the same. Here’s what you need to know. 🦵

There’s traumatic instability - you hear a pop, your knee gives out, you need immediate medical attention. But then there’s that other kind of instability that’s much more common.

You know the feeling: coming back to sports after time off and your knee just doesn’t feel right. Going downstairs and lacking that confidence you used to have. That “something’s not quite stable” sensation.

The good news? This type of instability often responds well to targeted exercises you can do on your own. Think isometric holds, single-leg balance work, and specific strengthening techniques that rebuild that control and confidence.

Your body often just needs to remember how to stabilize properly again. 💪

Important note: Even though you can often address this type of instability independently, if you have no prior experience with these movements and want to ensure the best outcomes, it’s still wise to work with a trained professional initially.

A shoulder dislocation is a painful injury that occurs when the upper arm bone is forced out of the shoulder socket. Because the shoulder is the most mobile joint in the body, it is also the most frequently dislocated major joint. Studies show that shoulder dislocations account for nearly 50 percent of all major joint dislocations treated in emergency settings.

A clavicle (collarbone) fracture is one of the most common bone injuries, often caused by falls or sports accidents. If you’re dealing with a clavicle fracture, here’s what you should know:

👀 Signs to Watch For: Pain, swelling, and difficulty moving your arm are key symptoms. You might also notice a bump or deformity at the site of the break.
🩺Treatment Options: Many clavicle fractures can be treated conservatively with rest, ice, and a sling. Severe cases, or fractures that don’t heal properly, may require surgery for better alignment.
