Adding Insight to Injury Manhattan Youth continues its free series of Wednesday Workshop presentations for parents of adolescents on March 14 with, “How to Properly Recognize, Treat and Prevent Sports Injuries in Teens and Tweens.” Physical therapist Renuka Pinto, who specializes in orthopedics and sports medicine at Duffy and Bracken Physical Therapy (a division of Maiden Lane Medical) will dispense expert advice on biomechanics, how to cope with teenage physical stress, and avoiding injuries in young athletes. The lecture will begin at 6:30 pm at the Manhattan Youth Downtown Community Center (120 Warren Street, near the corner of West Street). Admission is free, but space is limited, so anyone wishing to attend is asking to register in advance at ManhattanYouth.org.
