Spring skincare switch šø (from a dermatologist)
As the weather warms up, your skinās needs change too. Hereās what I recommend swapping in your routine:
āļø Lighten your moisturizer
Winter creams ā switch to lightweight lotions or gel-based hydrators (think hyaluronic acid, glycerin)
š§“ Re-evaluate your cleanser
If you used a creamy cleanser all winter, you may benefit from a gentle foaming cleanser now
šæ Add antioxidants in the morning
Vitamin C = brighter skin + extra protection against environmental damage
š§½ Exfoliate (but donāt overdo it)
Spring is a great time to reintroduce AHAs/BHAs 1ā3x/week for smoother, clearer skin
š SPF is non-negotiable
Longer days = more UV exposure
Use a broad-spectrum SPF 30+ every single morning
š§ Donāt ditch hydration
Even if you feel less dry, your skin still needs barrier support
