This patient is over 3 months out of thumb UCL reconstruction and continues to struggle with thumb stiffness, adherent scar and swelling. In addition to a flexion splint and 1st webspace stretcher, a custom MP extension splint was fabricated in order to reduce MP flexion contracture and restore thumb retropulsion. A little wacky looking, but it works!

A functional day splint to correct extension lag of small, ring and long fingers secondary to deficient EDC and ulnar drift from OA/RA. Patient may ultimately require surgery, but this will enable improved hand function for the time being.

Seeking a Clinic Aide in an Occupational Therapy practice on the Upper West Side FOR IMMEDIATE HIRE!

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Greeting and checking-out patients
Answering phones
Handling patient transactions (i.e copays, supply purchases)
Scanning medical forms into EMR system
Scheduling duties using EMR, entering patient appointments, modifying visits, entering new patient information
Assisting therapist with equiment, activity and modality set up
Re-stocking clinic supplies
Clinic clean up duties
Job Types: Part-Time 3-4 days per week

Must be available to work some evenings and Saturdays

This patient is battling severe elbow stiffness following an olecranon ORIF. We utilize the cuff and collar static progressive splint design to work on improving elbow flexion. Recommended wear schedule is 20 minutes 3 times daily

This patient came in with a 2 week old boutonnière injury. In addition to making a static PIP joint extension splint, this splint was fabricated to provide stretch to DIP joint to address developing ORL tightness.
