The Medicare GUIDE Program (Guiding an Improved Dementia Experience) is a voluntary CMS initiative that supports individuals living with dementia and their caregivers. Tendercare partners with participating providers to help families determine eligibility, enroll, and access ongoing care coordination.

Had such a great time at the Tendercare networking event with Shauna Sweeney, Chris Punsalan, and their amazing team! These events are always a perfect mix of meaningful conversations, new connections, and a genuinely fun atmosphere.

Rick and I even got to jump into a live dialogue about the Medicare CMS GUIDE program—but what really stood out was the energy in the room. So many passionate people coming together, sharing ideas, and building relationships that truly make a difference for older adults and their families.

Rick Gang and Joe Lawliss of Holistic HomeCare Associates were delighted to attend the National Aging in Place Council NYC chapter breakfast at Coterie Hudson Yards.

The morning featured an informative presentation from Eric Hausman, HICAP Outreach Volunteer Manager with the New York City Department for the Aging, who shared a helpful 2026 Medicare Overview & Update. His presentation covered Medicare Parts A–D, Medigap options, and programs designed to help reduce costs—along with a great Q&A session that answered many real-world questions.

We always value opportunities like this to connect with colleagues across the aging services community and stay informed so we can better support the families and professionals we work with.

Rick Gang and Joe Lawliss of Holistic HomeCare Associates were delighted to join colleagues at an Orion Resource Group gathering at The Club at Briarcliff Manor to learn from stress educator Jennifer Monness of JLM Wellness.

Her presentation, “When Stress Shows Up in Aging Bodies,” explored how the nervous system influences focus, emotion, and decision-making—and shared simple tools like breathwork, movement, and daily resets that can help regulate stress and support memory and well-being.

Understanding how stress affects older adults helps all of us in the care community provide more thoughtful, effective support. Grateful for the opportunity to learn and connect with such a wonderful group of professionals.
