The audacity. 🌀

Comment “333” for my free Overdrive to Regulation method. The Somatic Practice👇

You genuinely do not know how bad it was until it is not that bad anymore.

Until you wake up and your first thought is not dread.

Until something hard happens and you handle it without falling apart for a week.

Until you sit in silence and it actually feels like silence and not like your brain is eating itself.

Until your kids ask you something and you respond instead of snap.

Until you realize you have been surviving your own life and calling it fine.

That is the moment everything changes.

And once you feel the difference you cannot go back.

The days you feel like you are going backwards are part of it. Keep going.

Why do I work so hard to regulate my nervous system?

Let me introduce you to 17 year old Sammy. 🌀

She was that girl.

Absolute Barbie on the outside. Complete chaos on the inside.

Parties. Drugs. Alcohol. Getting herself into situations that would make your jaw drop and somehow always finding a way to make them worse.

Not because she was a bad person.

Because her nervous system had been in survival mode since before she could spell it and nobody told her that the reckless was just her body trying to feel safe in the most unhinged way possible.

Wild how that works.

Fast forward and my survival mode is way more subtle now.

Nobody is calling the cops. Nobody is making questionable decisions at 2AM.

But those old patterns still knock sometimes. That girl is still in there.

And honestly? She is part of why I do this work every single day.

Because she deserved someone to tell her sooner.

Maybe you did too. 🤍

I will die on this hill. 🌀

Mindset work is incredible.

It also does absolutely nothing when your nervous system is stuck in survival mode underneath all of it.

You can journal. Affirm. Visualize. Gratitude list your way through every morning.

And still blow up your relationships. Still self sabotage. Still feel like something invisible is holding you back.

Because your body does not care what your mind decided.

A dysregulated nervous system will override your mindset every single time. Without fail. Without apology.

This is why the most self aware women are still stuck.

Not because they are lazy. Not because they are not trying hard enough.

Because nobody told them to do the body work first.

Regulate first. Then watch your mindset work actually stick.

That is the order. That is the secret. That is what nobody is saying.

Imagine moving through your entire day feeling completely at ease in your body.

Nothing pinching. Nothing pulling. Nothing making you want to rip your clothes off the second you get home.

Just you. Comfortable. Present. Fully in your skin.

That is not a small thing.

Your nervous system is reading every sensation on your body all day long. Tight waistband. Scratchy fabric. Clothes that don’t feel like you. All of it registers as low grade stress.

And low grade stress all day is still stress.

The women who feel the most regulated, the most magnetic, the most themselves…they have figured out that how you feel in your body starts with what you put on it.

Breathable. Soft. Comfy. Feels like you.

That is a body that can actually relax into the day.

Dress like you love yourself, sis. 🌿

These might seem “small” to other people, but to your nervous system, they’re not:

- Someone staying over → sounds casual, but it’s an energetic invasion
- Construction at home → constant unpredictability = stress
- Small talk before you’ve regulated → socially expected, but draining
- Strong scents → perfume, detergent, candles, overstimulating
- Intense shows at night → “it’s just TV” but your nervous system is still processing it hours later
- Being asked “what’s wrong?” → feels like pressure to perform or fix yourself
- Unspoken tension in a room → you feel it even when no one else does
- Background noise → most people tune it out, you can’t
- Picking up on someone’s mood → “you’re imagining it” but you’re actually feeling it
- Touch without warning → meant as affection, but jarring when you’re already overstimulated

If this is you, you’re not broken. You’re not too sensitive. You’re not too much.

You’re just wired to feel deeply. And that’s not a flaw, it’s your nervous system doing exactly what it was designed to do.

I have slept 12 hours for the last few nights in a row and my body is absolutely living for it. Not lazy. Just recovering.

Most women are running cortisol levels so high their body never actually gets to rest even when they sleep. You close your eyes and your nervous system stays half awake. Scanning. Bracing. Processing.

Real rest, the kind that actually restores, only happens when your cortisol comes down enough for your body to feel safe letting go.

And when it finally does? You come back different. Softer. Clearer. More you.

That is what these last few days have been for me! More grounded. More present. More in my body than I have felt in a while.

Who needs this too? 👇

Two groups. Same diagnosis. Same pain.

One healed. One didn’t.

Follow for more of this. 🤍

Here is what separated them:
1. They stopped trying to think their way out of it and started working through the body instead.
2. They understood that chronic pain and dysregulation are learned patterns and learned patterns can be unlearned.
3. They interrupted the anticipation loop. The body was firing pain before anything physical happened. They learned to catch it before it ran.
4. They used breathwork and somatic practice to create new experiences in the nervous system. Slowly. Repeatedly. Until the body believed it.
5. They stopped waiting to feel better before they practiced. They practiced until they felt better.

Your nervous system built the pathway.
Which means it can build a new one.

Try this tomorrow morning before you open your eyes. Both hands on your body. Three slow breaths. Find one tiny sensation of ease. Hold it for 2 minutes. 7 days.
