It is with mixed emotions that I have decided that the time is right to retire. The 35 years since opening Novato Optometry have flown by. I have come to know you as friends, and am honored that many of you have allowed me to care for two, and even three generations of your families. Caring for you has been the most rewarding part of my career.
6 years ago, my daughter Dr. Marissa Huang joined Novato Optometry. Over the years, you have entrusted her with your eye care as I reduced my schedule. But life is unpredictable, and an important opportunity in her husband’s career will require them to relocate to New York City.
In light of these changes, we are excited to introduce Dr. Audriana Arceneaux to you. A native Californian, she completed her education and residency in Southern California. She has made the move to Novato with her fiancé, and looks forward to being a part of our community.
Dr. Arceneaux is an excellent clinician as well as a caring person. She will be at Novato Optometry full-time, bringing back the much-missed Saturday appointments very soon. We trust her to continue the legacy of quality, compassionate eye care at Novato Optometry. And Jenifer Gill, our wonderful optician, will continue to help you with your eyewear choices.
We want to thank you for entrusting Dr. Marissa and I with your eye care over the years, and look forward to having you meet the newest addition to the Novato Optometry family. I will continue to reside in Novato, enjoying my garden, our lovely hiking trails, and travel. I know I will run in to many of you out and about town, and look forward to saying hello! We are both sad to leave Novato Optometry but are glad to have a wonderful successor in Dr. Arceneuax. It has been a pleasure to be a part of your lives, and wish you the very best of health and good fortune in the future.
Sincerely,
Suzanne Huang, OD
