As we enter the fourth week of Advent, we’re invited to notice the quiet ways God is present in our lives and in the world around us. 🕯️✨
This season calls us to slow down, reflect, and recognize the moments of gratitude, kindness, and connection that reveal God’s loving presence. All things—big and small—can point us back to the One who created them.

May this final week of Advent deepen our awareness of hope and prepare our hearts for the joy to come.

We recently celebrated the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the Eden II Comfort Corner Gift Shop at Eger Healthcare! ✂️🎉

The Comfort Corner at Eger Healthcare is a meaningful new service that offers Eden II participants the opportunity to create and sell handmade items to residents, fostering creativity, connection, and purpose. The partnership also includes a strolling comfort cart, bringing small moments of comfort throughout the Eger Healthcare community.

Eden II Programs, a not-for-profit organization serving more than 500 participants across New York City and Long Island, supports individuals with autism through service, science, and passion—helping them achieve their full potential throughout their lives.

Congratulations to Eden II and the Eger Healthcare community on this wonderful new program and partnership. We’re grateful to celebrate this milestone together.

A magical holiday outing for the children and young adults of ArchCare at Mother Cabrini Hospital! ✨💫

Our care members enjoyed an unforgettable trip to see the Rockettes—complete with festive music, bright lights, and plenty of smiles. For many, it was a moment of wonder and joy during this special time of year.

ArchCare at Mother Cabrini Hospital is a true home for children and young adults with complex medical needs—a place where they are supported, celebrated, and encouraged to reach their highest potential. Outings like this one remind us how meaningful shared experiences can be for our care members and their families.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this day so memorable, and to the Good Newsroom for capturing these photos! ❤️

As we reach the third week of Advent, we’re invited to slow down and embrace this time of joyful expectation. 🕯️✨
At the halfway point of the season, Advent reminds us to practice patience, quiet our hearts, and become more aware of God’s persistent love—Emmanuel, “God with us.”
May this week help us notice the gentle ways hope is unfolding around us and within us.

Last week, the ArchCare community gathered to celebrate the remarkable career of our SVP of Compliance, Sarah Strum, who is retiring after 23 years of extraordinary service, leadership, and mentorship.

Referred to by our executive team as “Switzerland” for her non-judgmental guidance and unparalleled ability to resolve conflicts, Sarah has been a true safe harbor for our care members. She shaped teams, nurtured talent, solved problems before they became crises, and helped guide ArchCare through countless initiative and expansions with precision and grace. Her work in Legal Affairs and Compliance, flawlessly managing the function for our ministry, ensured our mission stayed secure and ethical every single day.

More than her professional perfection, Sarah’s greatest impact was her humanity. As President and CEO, LaRue shared, she is “simply a wonderful human being, who has made everything and everyone you touched better.”

Thank you, Sarah, for your unwavering dedication, your steady leadership, and the compassion you infused into everything you touched.

Wishing you every joy in retirement.

As we enter the second week of Advent, we’re reminded that hope shines brightest in the midst of darkness. 🕯️✨

In a world marked by conflict and uncertainty, Advent calls us to place our trust in Christ — the One who brings peace, justice, and light. This week invites us to hold fast to a faith that chooses hope over despair, life over death, and light over shadows.

May this season strengthen our spirits and open our hearts to the quiet, steady promise of God’s peace.
