Hamilton-Madison House is a non-profit settlement house established in 1898 to improve the quality of life for NYC. Located in Chinatown/Lower East Side Two Bridges neighborhoods, we foster the well-being of vulnerable populations including the elderly, children, the ill and handicapped, new immigrants and refugees and the unemployed. Hamilton-Madison House delivers critical, timely and culturally appropriate services for all stages of life.

Our Southbridge older adults celebrated the holidays with a delicious luncheon prepared by the wonderful chefs at Pastable.

Assemblymember Grace Lee presented a check for $10,000 to HMH’s Southbridge Older Adult Services Program, allowing us to continue to aid this thriving community. Council member Chris Marte came to support the event and give his best wishes to our attendees.

We help people with severe mental illness, encouraging their independent living through community connection, daily living assistance, multilingual case management, and personalized goal achievement.

Our Older Adults had a wonderful time at our Thanksgiving celebrations across town 🦃🍂🥧

Thank you to Assemblymember Grace Lee, Congressman Dan Goldman, and Rethink Food for donating over 500 meals!

Fun fact: Our offices are enmeshed with the NORCs (Naturally Occurring Retirement Communities) at Knickerbocker Village, Alfred E. Smith Houses, Southbridge Towers, and Chatham Green, where we are able to provide services and host activities.
