Join us in NYC, Oct 17-19 2025, for our Introduction to Embodied Recovery for Eating Disorders training.

This 3-day training is the starting point for professionals new to the ERED model.

Through a trauma-informed, attachment-based, and neurobiologically grounded lens, you’ll gain tools to integrate somatic work into eating disorder care — while learning why the body is not the obstacle to recovery, but the key.

This course is intended to introduce, inspire, and orient providers to the maps, concepts, and embodiment practices of the ERED approach.

In this foundational training, we explore how embodiment — not just cognitive insight — supports recovery. You’ll leave with a grounded understanding of how to work with the body, not against it, in the treatment of eating disorders.

This training is the first step in the ERED pathway, and a powerful opportunity to deepen your own felt sense of embodiment, safety, and co-regulation.

The body is not something to manage, control, or override. It holds the key to the doorway to healing.

🍎 Overview of the 4 foundational principles, developmental maps and neurologically based models of the ERED approach to treatment.
🍎 Integration of scientific and theoretical models to explain how neurological regulation and embodiment provide bottom-up support for “normative eating”.

A week ago, I woke up disturbed from a dream in which I watched a plane crash. Then I realized “oh, it’s 9/11 in a week.” Twenty-three years ago, I was an 18 year old starting my freshman year of college in New York City. It was a year full of grief and loss on many levels. And apparently, my body is still processing that experience through my dreams. I share this because trauma healing is not linear, and it has no timeline or expiration date. I believe we heal and process as our bodies, minds and systems are ready and much of that doesn’t happen verbally. Reaching out to say I see all of you today who experienced 9/11 in a way that has stuck with you. If you are still holding trauma from 9/11 or any other events, recent or in the past, please reach out - we are happy to accompany you on your journey.

We set an intention to grow and expand creatively this year! Here are the major updates:
Lauren recently got licensed in Maryland and Jennifer opened an art therapy office in Port Jefferson, Long Island! We are so excited to be able to reach and support more folks. As a reminder, Lauren is accepting clients via telehealth in New York, Virginia and Maryland and is also available for supervision. Jennifer is accepting clients in NY and NJ via telehealth, as well as in person on Long Island. Reach out with any inquiries!
