In DBT, we talk about three states of mind:
🧠 Rational Mind: when logic, facts, and research guide your thoughts and actions.
🧠 Emotional Mind: when feelings take the lead, and your behavior is driven by what you’re feeling.
🧠 Wise Mind: the sweet spot: balancing emotion and reason to respond mindfully and make choices that honor your needs.
It can feel like the emotional mind is the most “authentic,” but the real power comes from the wise mind, recognizing your feelings and using reason to navigate life’s challenges. 💬
