When you realize your child may need support, the next steps do not have to be overwhelming. 🙌

Stay involved. When parents remain engaged, validate emotions, and work alongside providers, children feel safer and more understood. Getting support is not a single decision. It is a series of thoughtful steps that help your child feel seen, supported, and not alone. 🩵

What risks do parents tend to underestimate the most? 🤔

These risks may not always look alarming on the surface, but they can have a significant impact on emotional regulation, decision-making, and long-term well-being.

Understanding what’s easy to miss helps caregivers move from reacting to responding, and from worry to informed support. 🫂

In this moment, let’s practice self-love and self-validation. Today, let’s honor yourself. You are enough in this moment.🩵

At Metro NY DBT Center, our clinicians are here to help families navigate these challenges with clarity and compassion. 💙
