Let's clear up one of the biggest misconceptions in fitness: Spot Reduction!

❌ MYTH: You can target your fat burn (e.g., doing 100 crunches will eliminate belly fat).

✅ FACT: Working out can absolutely reduce overall body fat, but you cannot control where your body chooses to burn it from!

Here's the science behind it:

When you exercise, your body breaks down stored fat into usable energy (fuel). This fat is pulled from fat cells all over your body not just the area you are working. While exercises like sit-ups strengthen the muscles underneath the fat, they won't magically melt the fat on top.
