It’s an honor to be made a corresponding member of the , la Sociedad Española de Otorrinolaringología y Cirugía de Cabeza y Cuello

I shared the state of our knowledge for three implantable hypoglossal neurostimulation systems. There are significant differences with respect the levels of evidence, patient selection, need for sleep endoscopy selection, ease of surgery , titration and more. It will be interesting to see what are the preferences of patients among systems and how patient selection, adherence and outcomes may be optimized. There are many challenges and opportunities ahead.

I also enjoyed sharing lessons I learned over the last 20 years including the benefits of :
 - Volunteering 
- Staying curious
- Learning from everyone 
- Analyzing one’s outcomes 
- Being humble and listening to my patients
