Philomena is a Certified Colon Hydrotherapist practicing in Manhattan for over ten years. Known for her gentle, compassionate nature and playful sense of humor, she views healing as a creative process that actively engages both practitioner and patient. Philomena completed her training in Ayurvedic Medicine at the Ayurvedic Institute in Albuquerque, New Mexico, with renowned teacher Dr. Vasant Lad, passing into the Gurukula study program held in Puna, India. She has also studied Sound Healing with Jonathan Goldman and Mr. Kita, and Natural Healing through The Living Food Lifestyle at the Ann Wigmore Foundation. Philomena began her professional commitment to the health and wellness field in New York City, eventually joining the staff of the prestigious Olive Leaf Wholeness Center. There, in addition to her regular caseload of clients, she facilitated the detoxification programs of recovering 9/11 uniformed service personnel. Currently Philomena is studying American botanical herbs under the Southwest School of Botanical Medicine as well as an ongoing program of CranioSacral Therapy with The Upledger Institute.

Pure Colonics has a unique opportunity for a mature, experienced colonic therapist to join our accomplished practice! Together our group of practitioners have 70 years of combined experience. This position is flexible: part or full-time, with some availability on weekends and evenings, ideally starting on September 10th. Live outside the city? For the right candidate, we can absolutely create a flexible schedule that accommodates your availability. Our practice has a loyal clientele that will be appreciative of your skill, and will return for 1:1 treatment with you, allowing for the possibility of steady work in your future.
Pure Colonics deploys techniques that have made us the longest active practice in New York. We will happily train practitioners who work or have worked as RNs, LPNs and Doulas as well as recent graduates from medical programs. We welcome applicants from these backgrounds and other adjacent wellness fields.
At Pure Colonics we are a close-knit family. We celebrate positive and sociable team players, and we have a comfortable, intuitive and empathetic hands-on approach. Our team is experienced and interested in current preventative health trends. New patients are confident coming to our practice because of our expert screening and evaluation skills. They return again and again because we are professional and manage our time and our appointments in a prompt and respectful manner. We're good listeners and do all of this while maintaining a sense of humor.
