Starr Yoga

Starr Yoga Gillian offers yoga session in private and group settings. In addition to teaching adults, Gillian i Gillian has been practicing yoga for over ten years.

Her fun and relaxed teaching style make her sessions welcoming to kids and beginners. She began teaching yoga following the birth of her child.

“The prenatal yoga that I did during my pregnancy with my son, Finn, enabled me to adjust gracefully to the changes in my mind and body that pregnancy and motherhood presented. The yoga class also introduced me to a community of pregnant woman, who supported each other through pregnancy and parenthood. The experience was so uplifting that I decided to share this gift with other women by becoming a Prenatal Yoga Teacher”. Gillian has taught in a variety of settings, including, Golden Bridge, Greenhouse Holistic, The Loom Studio, Kids’ Canvas, the YMCA and New York public schools. She has the following certifications:
200 hour - Greenhouse Holistic
Prenatal (Khalsa Way)
Postnatal/Mommy & Me (Spirit Baby)
Kids Yoga (Radiant Child Yoga Program). Gillian's current teaching schedule

I love this brief guided mindfulness mediation by Jon Kabat-Zinn. It's amazing how just focusing on your breath for 10 minutes, can bring calm to the mind and it lasts a while also...try doing this everyday for a week and see what a difference it makes!
