3 months ago, Neuhouse closed on the Lunar Eclipse, and I happened to be slotted to give a talk there about the Lunar Eclipse on the night they closed all doors. The day before, all members were informed that this would in fact be the last ever event and were shutting for good.
We are being initiated into a new era abruptly, and this was merely a showing. With five outer planets changing signs within a single year, we will continue to see many of our beloved institutions fall away. Yes, there is a collapse, though the question is, what world are you building amidst an apparent collapse?
That kind of cosmic choreography doesn’t happen quietly. We are stepping into a time of accelerated change, sweeping endings, stark beginnings, and collective reorientation. It’s both a renaissance and a revolution.
To the artists, the visionaries, the founders, the cultural stewards, and future-builders:
This is your time to build what has never been built. To honor thresholds. To reimagine EVERYTHING.
The future is arriving now, and we are being asked to meet it with vision. What is yours?
I want to express my deepest gratitude to NeueHouse for the many years of collaboration, conversation, and creative partnership. You’ve been more than a venue... you’ve been a container for cultural emergence.
Here’s to the spaces that hold us through endings and beginnings alike.
