Founded in 2018 by the kind and indefatigable Dr. Melanie Carminati PT, DPT, GTS, NCPT, Inspira Physical Therapy & Pilates is a woman-owned and operated specialty practice focused on providing complex orthopedic care for chronic pain, EDS/Hypermobility, pelvic floor physical therapy and Pilates rehabilitation from our offices in Brooklyn and Manhattan.

In the past 8 years, Dr. Melanie has expanded her business by moving from a small shopfront to a 1800 square ft office space, quintupled her team of attentive and skilled practitioners and administrators up from 3 to 15 employees, and opened a new satellite office in Manhattan. Quick to adapt to the challenges of the pandemic, Dr. Melanie provided online treatment sessions and Pilates lessons, and covered herself from head to toe in PPE to help her patients get the care they needed.

In addition to treating a full roster of patients weekly and recently becoming a mother, Dr. Melanie is also a keen educator who hosts an annual Pelvic Health Conference & Endometriosis Symposium in New York City, as well as a regular health and wellness podcast series on Apple called “Know & Do Better.” In November 2025, Dr. Melanie will be a guest speaker at the Congress Seud LatinoAmerica in Puerto Rico where she will present three key presentations on the management of pelvic pain and endometriosis in Spanish, which she taught herself for the occasion.

Inspira will celebrate its 8th anniversary in December 2025, and there would be no better way to honor our staff and patient community than by recognizing our amazing founder Dr. Melanie and her team with a Gusto Impact Award.

From 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM, the 2026 Pelvic Health Conference will bring together leading experts for a CME-accredited multidisciplinary forum focused on advancing pelvic health care. The day will feature panels, lectures, networking opportunities, and discussions centered on innovation, collaboration, and education in pelvic health.

From 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, the Endometriosis Symposium NYC will offer an empowering evening for patients, advocates, and the pelvic health community. The evening will include a patient artist showcase, panel discussions, Q&A sessions, and conversations with leading voices in endometriosis and pelvic health care.
