With much regret, I inform you of the much premature passing of Chloe Elise Rripaj.

(Family written obituary) After a courageous battle, Chloe Elise Rripaj, of Pelham, passed away on November 2nd 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She had just celebrated her sixteenth birthday.

Born at Bronxville Hospital, Chloe was the cherished only child of Nikolin Rripaj and Enkelejda Coku Santini. She spent her early years in the Bronx before moving to Pelham at the age of six, where she was lovingly raised by her mother and her devoted grandparents, Zef and Lule Coku (“Nana and Daja”), who shared an unbreakable bond with her. Chloe attended Hutchinson Elementary School, Pelham Middle School, and Pelham Memorial High School.

Chloe was the bright light of her large extended family — smart, kind, beautiful, and full of grace. Her warmth, quick wit, and radiant smile drew people in effortlessly. She loved to travel the world with her family, capture sunsets on her camera, spend sunny days at the beach, enjoy good food, and express herself through her impeccable sense of style. Wise and poised beyond her years, Chloe had a natural elegance and a generous heart that touched everyone she met.

A talented and active young woman, Chloe rowed with the City Island Girls Rowing Team and also enjoyed ballet, gymnastics, art and fashion. Her greatest joy, however, was spending time with her family — especially her grandparents and her many cousins, who were more like brothers and sisters to her.

Chloe is survived by her loving mother and stepfather, Enkelejda Coku Santini and Jean-Claude Santini; her father Nikolin Rripaj; her devoted grandparents, Zef and Lule Coku; her adoring aunts, Donika (Nikolin) Dodaj of Pelham, Vera (Sergio) Gjoni of Italy, Alma Elezaj of Pelham, Ana (Claudio) Ascani of Italy and Luljeta (Ardian) Makaj of Italy; and her beloved cousins Andrew, Christina, Xhuliano, Daniel, Elton, Xhenifer, Nikoleta, Aron, Riccardo, and Aurora. She will be deeply missed by her family, her friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Chloe is predeceased by her Uncle Tony Elezaj.

A Celebration of Chloe’s Life will be held on Thursday, November 6th, from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Pelham Funeral Home, 64 Lincoln Avenue, Pelham, New York. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, November 7th, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 575 Fowler Avenue, Pelham Manor, New York. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, New York.

My deepest condolences to the family, may Chloe Rest in Peace.

With regret, I inform you of the passing of Kathleen ("Kay") Corcoran McCarrick

(Family written obituary) Kathleen ("Kay") Corcoran McCarrick, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, entered into eternal rest on November 3, 2025, at the age of 91. Known for her faith, fierce determination, and generous spirit, Kay touched countless lives with her advocacy, her humor, and her boundless love for family and friends.

Born in New York City on August 13, 1934, Kay was the eldest of three children of John Corcoran and Mary ("Peg") Gormley Corcoran. She was raised in the Bronx, where her mother ran a boarding house, and attended Walton High School. Kay graduated from Packard Junior College and began her career as a secretary with Lever Brothers in Manhattan, where she was admired for her sharp intellect and attention to detail.

In 1954, Kay married Tom McCarrick after meeting him at a Manhattan dance. Together they built a life of faith, family, and community, raising seven children in the Throggs Neck section of the Bronx, surrounded by a close-knit circle of aunts, uncles, and cousins. Kay was a longtime parishioner of St. Frances de Chantal Church before the family relocated to Mamaroneck, NY in 1976. There, she worshiped at Most Holy Trinity and St. Vito's Churches, and in later years at St. Joseph's in Bronxville, after moving to an assisted living community in Tuckahoe.

With her children raised, Kay returned to work, first at St. Joseph's School for the Deaf and later at a parish rectory in Connecticut, where she approached every task with intelligence and discipline.

Kay lived a rich personal life as well. She was known for her wit, curiosity, and fierce independence. She loved sharing meals around a crowded table, keeping up with current events, and cheering on her children and grandchildren in their endeavors. After Tom's passing in 2012, Kay showed her resilience by building a new circle of friends and activities. At The Fountains in Tuckahoe, she quickly became a "community ambassador," welcoming new residents with warmth and humor, showing them the ropes. She resumed a particular love, painting, and took up a new one, poetry, writing with wit and warmth. Her greatest joy in later years came from visits with her children, grandchildren, and wide circle of friends, always keeping close tabs on everyone's comings and goings.

Kay is predeceased by her parents, John and Peg Corcoran; her husband, Tom; her sons Peter, James, and Timothy; and her granddaughter Leah.

She is survived by her loving children: Thomas and his wife Michelle Retik; Kathleen and her husband Brendan Weiden; John and his wife Dawn McQuade; Colette and her husband Michael Geary; and Matthew and his wife Ariella Stillman; as well as 17 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Maureen O'Sullivan; her brother, John, and his wife Colleen Corcoran; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Her family and friends will remember her for her unwavering devotion, her courage in the face of challenge, and her boundless capacity to love.

Viewing will take place at McGrath's Funeral Home in Bronxville, NY on November 5 from 4:00PM to 8:00PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph's Church in Bronxville, NY on November 6 at 9:45AM, with interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to gather in celebration of Kay's remarkable life.

Though she will be deeply missed, Kay's legacy of faith, advocacy, and love will continue to guide all those she touched.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Kay's memory to St. Joseph's School for the Deaf in the Bronx, NY.

My deepest condolences to the family. May Kay Rest in Peace.
