NADAP has officially moved! 📍

We’re now in our new flagship home at 520 Eighth Avenue, 12th floor and it’s a big moment for our 55-year journey.

With over 11,000 square feet, this space gives us room to grow, collaborate, and keep expanding our impact in addressing substance use and public health across our communities.

We’re also incredibly grateful to our new landlords at GFP Real Estate, led by Jeffrey Gural, and the team at Savills, especially Marc Shapses and Eva Shih, for their partnership and guidance throughout this process.

NADAP President and CEO John A. Darin, also a board member of the Coalition for Community Services, joined partners and policymakers at the Coalition’s Annual Legislative Reception honoring Speaker of the New York Assembly, Carl Heastie, this year’s Champion Award recipient for his advocacy for addiction services. 👏

Leaders including Senator Nathalia Fernandez, Assemblymember Phil Steck, OASAS Commissioner, Dr. Chinazo Cunningham and Ann Marie T. Sullivan, MD, Commissioner, NYS Office for Mental Health gathered in support of community-based treatment providers.

These providers offer a proven, cost-effective alternative to ERs, shelters, and incarceration. Sustained investment and regulatory alignment are critical to expanding access, reducing overdose deaths, and strengthening communities across New York. 🤝💙

WHAT A MEMORABLE NIGHT! 🎰 NADAP's 55th Anniversary Casino Night Benefit truly captured the spirit of community and generosity, from the energy around the gaming tables to the shared moments of fun and connection. A particularly powerful moment of the evening came when Spirit of NADAP Award recipient, former NJ Net and NBA All-Star Jayson Williams, founder of the nonprofit Rebound on the Road, delivered a moving speech about his personal journey of hope and resilience, which resonated deeply with everyone in the room.

Funds raised from the Anniversary Benefit further NADAP's mission to help New Yorkers overcome barriers to healthcare and employment through access to life-changing substance use treatment, medical care, health insurance, job training and placement services.
