This week, Ryan Health was in Albany meeting with elected leaders to discuss the issues that matter most to our patients, staff, and the communities we serve.

We’re grateful to Assembly Member .UWS for her time and thoughtful engagement, and we thank all the elected officials and staff who met with us to listen, learn, and collaborate. These conversations are critical to advancing policies that strengthen access to care and support healthier communities across New York.

January is Blood Donor Month 🩸

This month, we’re recognizing the lifesaving impact of blood donors. Every donation helps ensure patients can receive critical care when they need it most—from emergencies to ongoing treatments.

Thank you to all the donors who give selflessly and help keep our communities healthy. If you’re able, consider rolling up your sleeve and making a difference. One donation can save lives.

Your thyroid may be small, but it plays a big role in your overall health—affecting energy, mood, metabolism, and more. Thyroid conditions often go undiagnosed, so knowing the signs and getting regular checkups matters.

If something feels off, we’re here to help. Talk to your provider, ask questions, and take charge of your health. 💪

Extreme cold is more than uncomfortable, it can be dangerous.

With severe cold and snow on the way, it’s important to protect yourself and your loved ones from cold weather exposure. Prolonged time in freezing temperatures can lead to hypothermia and frostbite, especially for older adults, young children, and people with chronic health conditions.

Limit time outdoors, dress in warm layers, and check in on elderly and vulnerable neighbors who may need extra support. If you start to feel confused, unusually tired, numb, or shivery, get indoors and seek medical care right away.

Stay warm and stay safe ❄️

Proud to be part of the 7th Annual Legislative Breakfast & Town Hall, organized and hosted by Senator Cordell Cleare, the East Harlem Community Health Committee, and the Human Services Consortium of East Harlem.

We appreciated the opportunity to engage with community members and hear directly from elected leaders Sen. Cordell Cleare, Assemblymember Jordan Wright, Councilmember Elsie Encarnacion, and Senator Brad Hoylman-Sigal about priorities impacting East Harlem’s health and wellbeing. Conversations like these help strengthen partnerships and move community-driven solutions forward.
