Manhattan Center for Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy

Manhattan Center for Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy Offering mental health services for adults. Our offices are located in midtown Manhattan.

The Manhattan Center for Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy provides psychological services for people affected by depression, anxiety, and other conditions. Cognitive-behavioral therapy, or CBT, focuses on ways in which your thoughts and actions can contribute to problems – and on how you can address these problems by thinking or acting a little differently. CBT has been demonstrated to be an effective means of treating problems such as depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), social anxiety, phobias, eating disorders, and panic attacks. Research studies typically show CBT to be about as effective as medication for these conditions – sometimes more effective, sometimes less. However, unlike with medication, the skills you learn in CBT stay with you after the end of treatment.
