Last week we spent the day learning from the incredible team at
Their philosophy of hospitality sparked many ideas for us, however one takeaway that stood out above all was: true hospitality isn’t just about delivering a service. It’s about how you show up for people.
And the truth is, great care givers already understand this better than anyone. They don’t show up halfway. They show up fully—for patients, for families, and for the quiet/scary/sad/calm moments in between.

Earlier this month, the medical and scientific community suffered a profound loss with the passing of James D. Watson at the age of 97. Together with Francis Crick, Watson deciphered the structure of DNA—the double helix—in 1953, a discovery that reshaped our understanding of life itself.

This single breakthrough became the foundation of modern biology and genetics, enabling scientists to unravel heredity, diagnose and treat genetic diseases, and develop innovations that continue to transform medicine and biotechnology.

Our cofounders, Michele Teter and Diane Sirakovsky, had the privilege of meeting Dr. Watson at the 2017 Irish America Healthcare & Life Sciences 50 Awards—an encounter we remember with great admiration and gratitude.
