~Sharing a bit of my heritage with you~

Symbolic to many West African ethnic groups; beads were passed down within families for centuries, and were said to possess the incantations, prayers and healing properties of wise elders. Ghanaian beads became particularly favored for their medicinal and healing powers. Each color variant was thought to house a specific healing property, and was used for a specific ailment. Known all over the world for their use in Dipo/Krobo initiation ceremonies Ghanaian trade and recycled powder glass beads have become increasingly popular outside of Ghana.
