The management of a patient with a genetic mutation requires a multidisciplinary & multifaceted approach to care. Working with both surgical and non-surgical patients, Emily Perfetto manages the High Risk Program at the New York BRCA Center. Utilizing the most up to date guidelines, Emily works with each individual patient to create a tailored screening program that accounts for both standard screening criteria as well as patient preference and lifestyle. Emily has 8 years of combined inpatient and outpatient experience, all with a focus on oncologic care.
After receiving her Bachelors of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania, Emily worked as an inpatient nurse specializing in oncology and hematology. In this role she gained many skills, including the management of chemotherapy & biotherapy. She received her Masters of Science degree in Nursing from George Washington University and is a board certified nurse practitioner in adult health. As a nurse practitioner in an outpatient setting, Emily is able to provide preventative care for both BRCA and high risk patients.
