What if aging isn’t a one-way trajectory, but a biological program that can be slowed, repaired - and even reversed?
A new Cell study demonstrated that gene-engineered stem cells reversed multiple hallmarks of aging in primates. These senescence-resistant cells (SRCs), fortified with the longevity gene FOXO3, improved cognition, bone density, immune balance, reproductive health, and epigenetic aging - with measurable molecular reversal across tissues.
While SRCs are not yet not tested in human, this study marks a turning point/
It reinforces a simple truth: aging is biologically targetable - and the future of longevity lies in repairing the mechanisms beneath the surface.
