How Long Does It Take To Become An Acupuncturist?
This is probably the number one question I get asked when I tell people I’m in grad school to become one!

So let’s break it down because there are a few parts to it-

Here are the 2 masters degrees you can opt for:

•Master of Science in Acupuncture (MSAc): A 3-4 year program focusing on acupuncture techniques, diagnosis, and biomedical sciences.

•Master of Science in Acupuncture with a Chinese Herbal Medicine Specialization (MSAcCHM): Includes all MSAc coursework plus comprehensive training in Chinese herbal medicine. Minimum 4 years full-time

(Certain states won’t allow you to practice acupuncture without an herbal degree too)

After you graduate, you then need to take board exams to become licensed in order to be able to practice 📝

THEN there’s also the option of doing your Doctorate which is about another year!

So basically I’m in it for a min of 4 years since I am also working while in school!
Just know that your acupuncturist have been THROUGH it!
Think of this as Eastern Medical School- because it is 🤍

ANOTHER SEMESTER in the books!! 📚

Payton () asking how I’m going to celebrate after our last final of this semester for Acupuncture grad school and my answer really was - i have an acupuncture session booked!

Acupuncture is not just for aches and pains (although amazing for that too)!
Working, studying and feeling stressed depletes our body’s Qi (energy) which can then cause your Wei Qi (defensive qi, which keeps you healthy from outside pathogens) to deplete as well!
Acupuncture helps to strengthen your Qi- keeping your body in balance to help keep you healthy! Can’t wait for my session!

I do red light therapy at home in front of a little panel or with a face mask, but to sit in a (heated) space with 2 large panels on the ceiling really took it to the next level! 🚨 This isn’t to say that the smaller devices don’t work- this just showed me how effective they actually are!

I left feeling so relaxed, my mind and my body felt like a weight was released.

Red Light Therapy benefits include reducing inflammation, supporting collagen production, improving skin tone, supports circulation & more. It’s about consistency here! So if you can get your hands on even a small device or find a space that has an infrared red light sauna- go for it! ♥️

The best travel snack filled with wonderful benefits! Nature really did think of everything 😍

Pack 2 hard boiled eggs (7 minute boil is my fav) and have them during layovers, before boarding or when you arrive at your destination! I also carry them around when I’m running around all day. Satiating (keep you full) with 6-7g protein per egg!

Make sure you look for organic pasture raised and egg the WHOLE egg! The egg white actually has the most inflammatory properties. I could never get on the egg whites only train 🚂

The snack I always travel with that is easy to carry, TSA friendly and so filling- hard boiled eggs! 🥚

If I have an early flight then I cook 2 eggs the night before and keep them in the fridge over night. (I like mine cooked for 7 minutes) …and please do not buy into the “yolks” are bad rumors…
