showtime (n.) — a ness original, coined to describe the last run of the combo you’ve been building toward all class, where your inhibitions finally clock out and you morph into someone who simply must move like this.

showoff (n.) — a ness regular. unrecognizable, unhinged, a little feral, completely unstoppable. the natural state of anyone who has made it to showtime. no notes.

the demons are water soluble apparently….

here’s the actual science: your lymphatic system is responsible for clearing waste, toxins, and excess fluid from your body — but unlike your cardiovascular system, it has no pump. it relies entirely on movement and gravity to circulate. the up-and-down motion of bouncing on a trampoline acts like a valve, opening and closing the lymph channels with every rep. ten minutes of this and your immune system has done more work than it would in a full day of sitting.

demons, consider yourselves warned

rebounding is one of those workouts that looks easier than it is and feels better than it should.

here’s what’s actually happening when you bounce:

nasa found that 10 minutes on a trampoline delivers the same cardiovascular benefit as 30 minutes of running — and that your muscles are working harder even when your heart rate looks the same. the effort is real. it just doesn’t announce itself.

the joint story is the other half of it. the mat absorbs up to 80% of the impact that pavement or a gym floor would send straight through your ankles, knees, and hips. which is why people who can’t run anymore can do this — and why people who can run choose this instead.

and then there’s the lymphatic system angle, which most people have never thought about: your lymphatic system has no pump of its own. it relies on movement and gravity to circulate. the up-and-down motion of bouncing is one of the most efficient ways to stimulate it — your immune system is working every time you are.

harder than it looks. gentler than it sounds. worth trying!

a beachside bounce morning — and your ticket gets you a lot more than a class.

start with our signature ness bounce — beat-driven cardio on a custom rebounder, low impact on the joints, high intensity everywhere else. then stay for the rest: a recovery lounge with Normatec compression boots and red light tools, a smoothie bar to refuel, and a gifting bag stocked with products from wellness brands we love.

all of it in the Pacific Garden, with the ocean close enough to feel it.

all levels welcome. spots are limited.

Before they were fitness instructors, they were dancers.

Not for a season.
Not for content.
For decades.

Most of them started at three years old. Ballet barres. Studio mirrors. Rehearsals after school. Every role in the Nutcracker you could think of.

College degrees in dance, dance pedagogy, exercise science. Years studying anatomy, musicality, performance psychology, cueing, composition.

They didn’t arrive here from a weekend certification.
(Though yes, they have those too.)

They arrived here from a lifetime inside their bodies.
From learning how to teach counts before they could legally drive. From understanding how to build endurance before calling it cardio. From studying how movement is structured, layered, and refined over time.

This method wasn’t assembled.
It was passed down. Practiced. Lived.

Each trainer here carries decades of embodied knowledge into the room — not just how to move, but how to teach movement. How to cue it. How to correct it. How to build it safely and intelligently.

What you’re experiencing in class isn’t just seven years of a brand. It isn’t a trend replicated.

It’s 11+ years of professional fitness training layered on top of a lifetime in dance. Athletic conditioning informed by choreography. Cardio built with musicality.
Strength shaped by performance discipline.

That layering — that depth — is what makes them different. We could go on all day about our trainers and the level of expertise in this room.

It may only be year seven of the ness but it’s a lifetime in motion for them!
