May we bear witness to rebirth and renewal as carrying our wounds, not despite them but through them and of them.
May we honor not just the visible wounds, those we can press our finger on, but our invisible wounds.
May our heroic moments of tussling with and moving through pain, heartache, oppression, grief and loss be honored as catalyst and conversion towards our renewed self, our new story, our own rebirth.
May the witness of inner wounds not be falsely glorified to sanctify the oppression of another, but may forgiveness, spiritual humility, and love soften the grief, shame, and regret that hardens our hearts away from peace.
May rebirth and renewal draw us closer to God, and, naturally, towards our neighbor.
May the teachings of the Magdalene and her Savior, expressions of grace and humanity, devotion and love, the cosmos and the heart, bless and nourish us in our prayer of renewal, of moving towards God and each other.
Easter blessings to all who celebrate.
